Krieger Dobermann’s is a well established kennel from Largs on
the west coast of Scotland, founded by my dad John McILroy &
now jointly owned by myself Penny McILroy-Stracey. We bought
our first Dobermann 'Kissy' [Zytan Ajamais] from Jim & Liz
Templeton in 1980, tragically at 7 months old Kissy died. We went
back to the same breeders and bought Farrah- [Zytan Sand Gold]
who was brown and rust. This was our foundation bitch from which
all our stock descends. Farah’s pedigree was a combination of
Mat Greerson kennel [Rioghal] & Margaret Bastable's import
[German Champion Greif Von Hagenstern] on the dams side. On
the sires side was Peter Clark's famous [Clanguard] kennel. Having
European breeding in Farah’s pedigree we decided on a
European import as a stud dog for her - [ Ibsen Jingo Von
Ferrolheim ] owned by Stan MacDonald [Von Mac affix] this
resulted in a litter of 8 puppies of which we kept 2 - Tanya
[Reintraud Entchlossen] & Cesar [Deinhard Krieger]. Our affix was
first registered by the Kennel Club in the early 80's after Cesar
[Deinhard Krieger] won his stud book number which earned us
the right to own an affix. As a tribute to this beautiful dog our affix
could be nothing less than 'Krieger' since then we have bred
multiple stud book qualifiers, junior warrent titles and 5
